The Canteen, new and delicious in town.
Loic, Tom and Rob started The Canteen because they wanted to create a restaurant that serves fresh, full flavored food in the center of Provincetown. They took their inspiration from classic New England summer foods and added our own twists here and there. They steam their own lobsters everyday, they smoke their own pulled pork and lingucia, and they receive fresh baked bread from Iggy’s bakery in Cambridge. They cold brew Stumptown coffee, make their own lemonade, and serve beautiful teas from Bellocq. Although much of our food is simple, they think the details — the quality ingredients, the proper cooking techniques, the presentation, and the service — make a real difference.
They’ve been open for two months now, and are so happy that many people seem to love dining with them. It is normal, all is fresh, healthy and good, so if you feel like taking it easy, stop at the Canteen and enjoy.
