Spring Greeting! This is our first announcement of 2015, hello everyone! How was your winter? I wish you did Ok, finally we are in the warm sunny spring!

We are excited to announce, in conjunction with the publication this spring of Deborah Forman’s book Contemporary Cape Cod Artists: On Abstraction (Schiffer Publishing, 2015), that we are curating an exhibition of works by a selection of artists included in the book. please see our website  http://taowatergallery.com/debbie%202015.htm

Debbie Forman has been covering the Cape Cod art scene for more than 30 years. She is one of the most influential art critics on Cape Cod. In the past two years, we have done two large successful shows based on her previous books on Cape Cod’s art and artists.

When we met Debbie a few years ago, we came up with the idea of an exhibition related to artists in her books, so that we can showcase the work of the accomplished artists working on Cape Cod. Debbie has been delighted to work with us. There are many artists on Cape Cod and Debbie has selected some of the best for her three books; they represent a spectrum of styles and approaches. Since her first book was published, we followed the artists she selected and chose ones to exhibit who are in keeping with the mission of our gallery. The success of our previous two shows proves that our decision was right.

We had a  beautiful show in 2013 of artists included in her first book in the series, Contemporary Cape Cod Artists: Images of Land and Sea, and last year another excellent exhibit related to the artists in the second in the series, Contemporary Cape Cod Artists: People and Places. And now, this show is related to the third in the series.

As one of the largest and best galleries on Cape Cod, we are proud to have the ability and high standards to exhibit some of the best artists on Cape Cod; we especially thank Debbie for her sharp eye and keen aesthetic values. And, of course, we thank all the artists who have participated in these shows for their creativity.

Deborah Forman will be signing her book at the May 30 opening,
