The Women Innkeepers of Provincetown are thrilled to announce their partnership with Cyndi Lauper’s True Colors Fund in an effort to raise awareness about lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) youth homelessness. The Women Innkeepers of Provincetown will produce several events throughout the year benefiting the True Colors Fund. Events include an online auction of Provincetown lodging and attractions, hosted by Charitybuzz, with all proceeds benefitting the True Colors Fund. The auction will begin May 10 and run throughout the month, and can be viewed online at www.charitybuzz.com/truecolorsinptown.

Pain d’Avignon at Provincetown Farmers Market
The Provincetown Farmers Market will open Saturday, May 14, to begin the 2016 season and will continue every Saturday through November 19 with more local, organic foods, new vendors, and expanded access to consumers.
The decade-old market located on Ryder St. next to Provincetown Town Hall will have every farm and produce item found in grocery stores, according to Kathy Sanders, 2016 Provincetown Farmers Market manager.
“The Farmers Market will offer organic and organic practices with a diverse selection of locally grown fruits and vegetables all season,” Sanders said. “We want people to see that anything you can find at a grocery store can be found at the market.”

Every year Purple Feather Café and Treatery hosts a Spring Chocolate Festival to introduce fabulous new creations, created by our own resident Chocolatier Ann Okun and guest Dutch Chocolatier Paul John Kearins. Throughout the weekend we will be offering taster samples for all to try in exchange for their opinion. It is particularly used to describe painting outdoors, also called peinture sur le motif (“painting of the object(s) or what the eye actually sees”), where a painter reproduces the actual visual conditions seen at the time of the painting.
